Portland is the first stop back in the USA. Every passenger has to get off of the ship and see a customs agent. This can be a real headache. We didn’t arrive until 1pm. We were scheduled to meet with the customs agent at 1:15 and we were close to this time. The line was relatively short.

We did a walking tour of Portland. About 5.5 miles. The city was packed with people. Not bad for a Tuesday afternoon. Does anyone work anymore?

There were many HAL tours offered for this port but none that we found interesting enough to do. The walk suited us fine.

The evening entertainment was a second performance of Cape Bretton Thunder. Another 10 performance.

Thanks for following along on another adventure. Today we said goodbye to some new friends and some old friends that we met on other cruises. I’m sure our paths will cross again. We do have another cruise that will take advantage of the total eclipse happening near Spain in 2027.

Tomorrow we arrive in Boston at 7am and we have a flight back home at 4:30.
