We started the day at the gym. A lot more crowded than we expected. The gym is small and the machines are very close together and loading plates can be challenging even when the gym is empty. The walk to the gym is through a park and we comment on why none of the grass is cut. It’s long with lots of weeds as is all of the public areas that have grass. Politics I imagine.
We did our workout and walked back and made lunch. Rain has been an issue today. We decided to walk to the Cathedral do an audio tour and then come back and do laundry.
No pictures allowed in the cathedral. We kept commenting on how this cathedral reminded us of Vatican City. Lots of gold, lots of crypts, lots of chapels. I am amazed at how much time and effort a king or some dignitary will put into a display that will honor themselves. I’m guessing that the amount of time and effort that is put into this is inversely proportional to the positive impact they had over the people they ruled or presided over. Why buy your people food when you can put more gold into people remembering you?
We did walk up to the bell tower and was able to take a photo of the bell and of Krakow from the tower. The Polish Pope, John Paul II was from Krakow. There is a museum next to the Cathedral with some of his things in it.

It rained heavily on the walk back but we were prepared. We gathered are clothes and went to the laundromat and spent a few hours there. Dinner back at the apartment and then called it a night.
